Regina the Rubber Ducky.....

Regina the Rubber Ducky wasn’t very lucky. Her best friend in the whole wide world, Sammy the Sailboat wanted to go to the beach because it was a hot beautiful day with a nice southerly breeze at 10-12 knots per hour. Regina’s voice was a little squeaky and she just wanted to stay home and relax in a nice bathtub full of steaming hot water. Safety side-note: Remember kids not so hot to burn a person because that would be too hot so always remember as Bathroom Baxter says, “dip your toe to see if it’s a go”. She told Sammy that her doctor advised her to stay home and rest but he would have none of that and replied, “What does that quack no anyway, and really no one is making you come see me”.

With the guilty invite seed planted in her head, Regina the Rubber Ducky decided to go to Lighthouse Point to meet her friend because it had been a long time since she had seen Sammy the Sailboat and he was such a silly sailor. When she got there, Sammy was out on the water with one of his other Sailboat pals. He saw Regina waddle up and he yelled, “Hey Regina, you walk here from Catalina, hurry on in the water is great”.

Regina was a little hesitant because she had just put on her mascara and she didn’t want her make up to run (she figured for a ducky to get lucky, they better look pluck-able if you know what she means).  She figured she would just wade in a little bit so as to not ruin her make-up and still enjoy the water, but Mother Nature had different plans for her that day.

As she was relaxing and floating in the shallows a big gust of wind came along and pushed Regina away from shore. She was frozen and didn’t know what to do, Sammy the Sailboat had run ashore in the Harbar to grab a cold one with his friend and couldn’t hear her. It had seemed like hours that she had been floating out there and the sun was beating down on her; she was starting to get delirious because she though she saw a ship.

As it got closer, she realized it actually was a ship and she thought Sammy had come to rescue her, but as I said before this was one rubber duck without any luck and this was a Pirate ship that just wanted to f@#k.  Regina started to cry but then thought, with a little twinkle of hope, of Sammy and said to herself, “It’s a ship full of seamen, it can’t be that bad”.
